Q. What type of mare does he do best with?
At this point in his career R Blue Moon has had the opportunity to be bred with many different breeds and types of mares. I would say his best crosses have been from Thoroughbred, Holsteiner and IDSHA mares. His Purebred Connemara offspring are equally impressive. Blue is the sire of ACPS Inspected and Approved Purebreds.
Q. What is he like to ride and handle?
He is a forward thinking pony who is sensible, lite and responsive. He is neither hot or spooky. He is a pleasure to own, breed and show. He is bold and willing while schooling over fences and on cross country. Blue is mannerly and manageable while breeding.
Yes! We offer both fresh cooled semen for AI as well as proven Frozen Semen by the breeding dose. Blue is available for collections M, W, F during season and by special arrangement with advance notice. Our season begins at the end of April 1 thru July 1. After July 1 we will continue to serve our clients on an as needed basis. Our Special Offer is for Fresh Semen Only.
